GIGABLUE
Terms and Conditions
Updated August 10, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Gigablue collects through gigablue.co, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
Gigablue develops Carbon-Carrier Pod technology for deep-ocean carbon sequestration. This policy is issued by Gigablue Inc., based at 169 Madison Ave STE 2871, New York, NY 10016, USA.
Gigablue does not have a separate UK or EU entity.
2. What we collect
We collect information you give us directly, and some information automatically when you visit our site.
Contact form: name, email, area of interest, and your message.
Remove Carbon inquiries: your organization, role, contact details, and project or purchase details you choose to share.
Newsletter: your email address.
Automatically, via cookies: technical details like IP address, browser, device, and pages viewed. See our [Cookie Policy — link once published] for the full list and how to control it.
3. Why we use it
We use this information to:
Respond to your inquiry and connect you with the right team.
Provide carbon removal services, including quoting and delivering on purchases.
Send the newsletter you signed up for — you can unsubscribe anytime.
Keep the website secure and working well.
Meet our legal, permitting, and MCFS verification obligations.
Our legal basis (EEA / UK visitors)
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (newsletter, non-essential cookies), the steps needed to fulfil a request or contract (carbon removal purchases), our legitimate interests (general inquiries, site security), and legal obligations (permitting and verification).
5. Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with:
Service providers who host our site, send our emails, or run analytics on our behalf. [Name specific vendors once confirmed.]
Verification and regulatory bodies such as Puro.earth and relevant permitting authorities, where needed to certify a deployment.
Advisors such as lawyers and auditors, where necessary.
Anyone required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request.
6. Where it's processed
We're based in the US, so your information is processed there. We don't have a UK or EU office, so if you're in the UK or EEA, we use [Standard Contractual Clauses / UK IDTA — confirm with counsel] to protect your information when it leaves your region.
7. How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it [add specific retention periods once set] and delete or anonymize it afterward, unless we're legally required to keep it longer.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can typically ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, object to or restrict certain uses, and withdraw consent at any time. EEA and UK residents can also complain to their local data protection authority.
[If Gigablue is subject to US state privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA or similar), add specific rights and an opt-out link here once confirmed with counsel.]
To use any of these rights, contact us at hello@gigablue.co.
9. Cookies
See our [Cookie Policy — to be published with a compliant consent banner] for details and to manage your preferences. You can also use the “Cookie Settings” link in our footer.
10. Children
Our site is for businesses, researchers, and other adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 16.
11. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. [Add specifics once confirmed with Engineering.] No system is 100% secure.
12. Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change, with a new “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, extra notice.
